In one word: tasteful. The story is well paced and payoffs are rewarding. It's well written to the point that I have no complaints with anything, even the various side characters and female leads are all fun and endearing in their own right.I've read so many works where it seems as if the writer is determined to infuriate the reader with every annoyance, inconvenience and grievance they can think up but in this case the author manages to strike a balance between comedy and traditional cultivation tropes making the chapters both easy to digest and leaving the reader wanting more. It's one of those rare novels which I read from start to finish in one sitting. The only downside is that now I have to wait for more translations to come out - have I mentioned the translations are excellent as well? So, what are you waiting for? Hurry up and try it out.
