The depiction of 1st generation AOB is really thought out. Showing fated pairings without understand why they feel that pull towards one another. Ugh it hurts. Especially their past - mostly shown through Yuder's dreams. The fact that Kishiar was dying and thought the best for Yuder was to keep a distance from him, while teaching him all he can before he parts and also try to remove their bond (which they didn't know what it was exactly) is sad. Along with that in the first life is young Yuder forced upon a huge responsibility as Commander, who didn't give much care to anything or anyone except his duties except Kishiar who showed kindness and care but also became instantly cold the moment Yuder tried to reach out and get closer, and at the end took it as rejection. So he stopped attempting any longer. Fortunately, they both got a chance in their 2nd life together and they are beautiful 😭. Please gimme their babies author-nim 🙏One isn't enough, I need multiple KishYu babies🥺
Also I love Nathan, Kanna, Gakane
Nahan is a very interesting antagonist cuz his main goal isn't completely wrong, which is creating a safe space for awakeners, but all the actions behind this goal is so evil and wrong you can't truly support him. Of course apart from him there are many villains, but he's one of the many recurring ones.
[collapse]This is truly one of the best novels I've read and I'm such a sucker for lovable main characters, slow burn, character development, well developed side characters and world building. There are a lot of grey moments wherein you are unsure of who to side with which is a lot more interesting than having right and wrong sides. And I truly love our main couple, two over self sacrificing people who meet convincing each other to stay safe and healthy for one another! I LOVE THEM😭
