Disappointing, that's what it is.The only reason I managed to read until chapter 38 was because I was interested in the premise. However, I grew tired of the way the story is being written. The first chapter was wierd, but that very weirdness was intriguing to me nevertheless.I usually don't mind nonsensical acts done by characters, especially if they are done to achieve their goal. To me, this gives the characters individuality and a flavour to the story. What I do hate being done is that when the author claims that the protagonist did a lot of research and plenty of study to reach an answer, only for the author to degrade their intelligence to a s*upid level. That's what the author does after the first chapter. The only reason I even managed to somewhat ignore something I hate so much is because the story focused on the monster girls. That's why, I changed my mindset and thought of the protagonist as some sort of figure head of the story, expecting for the author to focus on the monster girls and their world conquring as the title mentioned. Then it got to the point where they met the goddess. I liked how the author depicted the goddess as cruel and pragmatic. I always found it strange how other authors make gods act subservient and apologetic to the protagonist. It makes no sense at all, especially for the first meeting. This goddess was a nice refresher. And with her cruelty, the situation turned drastically south and full of tension. Which was quite exciting to read. But the next chapter, the VERY next chapter, everything is back to normal as if nothing happened. WTF?Again I almost dropped it right at this point, but the monster girls finally began to take the first steps in conquring the world. However, the translation was starting to get worse. It was getting hard to understand who was talking, or if they were thoughts or actual conversation. The author didn't help either as the descriptions began to be washed over as well.If this is the result of what the other review mentioned, about how the author changed their story due to reader comments, then the story lost its chance to become anything great and it's heading straight into tr*sh.I hope that there would be some manga adaptation, as often times they do a better job to tell the story compared to the novel. A prime example is I Can't Exploit My s*aves Because of Their High Expectations and Evaluation where the way the story is written is quite confusing and s*upid, but the manga does a better job at telling the story.
