I put off reading this for a long time because of the "slice of life" tag. I find that genre to be tedious and boring, filled with a bunch of pointless drivel about food and lacking any conflict or plot. So I had low expectations for this when I started despite the good rating it has here.

Surprisingly, it is actually pretty interesting, and I don't think the Slice of Life tag really belongs here, at least up to the point I've read so far. The main character isn't the bland meek wet rag that so many Japanese protagonists are. He stands out quite a bit, and in a good way too. It also thankfully doesn't seem to be a harem so far, with the MC having one person he is in a relationship with and other girls he sees as daughters.

And I have to mention the translation quality- It is really good. I love the weird out of place language (ebonics?) that are the MC's thoughts, and there is hardly a single error I can recall. It's probably the best translation I have seen in a while, comparable to "Death Mage who doesn't want a Fourth time"

i am loving the story. but somehow there are chapters does repition from the previous. must it be necessary just because of the character's point of view? i think readers are clever to understand what is happening to the storyline and doesnt need to do repetitively. its just a waste of chaper.
