Villain: After Slacking Off, The Protagonist Collapse Chapter 155 Discussion

Pros: overall it was a fairly enjoyable experience. Granted, the reason may be that I'm slightly starved for straightforward cultivation novels. Another thing I liked is that it (so far) did not turn into "gotta catch them all waifus" simulator. Although very weak in terms of romance line, I am pleasantly surprised that MC has 1 stable relationship and 2 other female followers who don't seem to sleep with him. Edit: nevermind, he was in fact sleeping with all 3 of them and he is picking the fifth wife now. I hope at least his master and protector are safe. Cons:

2) This is not a villain novel, it is a very straightforward (VERY) easy mode cultivation novel. MC never does anything remotely villainous, both OG and the new one. OG host body absolute worst offense is being a simp.

3) Even as a cultivation novel, the premises are not maintained. MC having his thoughts being heard by heroines increasingly rarely comes into play. Very early on MC finds out about it and just turns it off. Spoiler

"System, can I turn it off?" "No, but I can adjust it so you decide which thoughts are heard and which are not" "I decided that none will be heard" "ok, done"

[collapse] MC having to slack off is just an excuse to give MC increasingly powerful props and cultivation realm. In the end, MC ends up resolving the issues either by doing things himself of by directly instructing people around him. If MC casually dropped crucial bits of information to direct ppl where they need to be, I would excuse it, but what he is micromanaging everyone around him, it's not slacking off. 4) Increasingly large portions of the novel are struggles among the older generation, who are peak of the world in terms of combat power and cultivation realms. These thousand year olds are being ordered around by 20-year old MC because he has basically perfect precognition. MC, the heroines and all of young generation are just too weak to participate. It also makes MC plan to powerlevel his female followers to do things for him kind of pointless.

5) Author is incredibly repetitive about some things. The number of times a character said that looking at MC they feel resentment and despair may be in low hundreds. Every time MC sneezes in public, every named character says that, then several unnamed group of characters say that.

What do have the feeling that the author might make Madelyn end up with Zach !? And then both of them might not be biologically related after all!

Storyline was good. Grammar was not so good. FYI.. it’s wrapped, not warped. “He wrapped his arms around her waist.” It’s consent, not constant. “She gave him her consent to go further.” It seems there is a language barrier, but you did a great job. It was still easy to follow.
