It's like a cultivation novel that happens to be set in a modern-day, hunter/tower world. A lot of telling but not showing, a lot of exposition about martial arts stuff, everyone uses Qi and meridians and super-empowering elixirs, and clans take the role guilds usually have in hunter stories. I find the writing style kind of dry.The MC is OP from the beginning, which I'm normally fine with, but he's OP in a boring way? I feel like not a lot is happening. The synopsis seems like either A) the MC would be desperately trying to live an easy life only to be dragged into trouble constantly or B) MC hides his true strength while steamrolling through all challenges. Neither really happens. He just concentrates on cultivation mostly, at least at the point in the novel where I am at.Even if things pick up and get more exciting later, it's slow at the beginning. If you like martial arts novels that go into extreme detail you might like it. But it's a 3/5 for me because it's not terrible but not to my taste.
