I did enjoy the first arc, but the rest of the novel is insanely repetitive down to the descriptions of the characters.

The amount of times I read about curly hair resting over amber eyes, pink hair and glam makeup, and characters wearing a black or brown coat, is actually insane and added absolutely nothing to building the scene 99% of the time.

The positives: No matter how cliche I like the main couple. MC has his satisfying face slapping moments (I love a revenge arc). ML fits the cold-rich-guy archetype but I enjoyed it.

The negatives: As mentioned, insanely repetitive. I don't like any of the other characters that have romantic interest in the MC throughout the dating show - they fall for him way too fast and that is leaving out the fact of how illogical some of their hatred towards MC was in the first place. There's more but I'll leave it at this.

I skipped the last few chapters because I could see how things would be tied up. Such a shame, would have been a better read if it were shorter and characters more three dimensional instead of simply existing to hype up or hate the MC.

Goodness they have been investigating the whereabouts of the elixir for thousands of years and yet the answer all along was already with them the Crucifier and the exalters. James wasted so much time always leaving Thea behind when Xandros clearly said to use the Crucifier and exalter to find it.
