Uncertain if it’s cause of the translation or the plot jumping around that makes it confusing. Thanks for translating though!A lot of the first half with the many flashbacks was not great to read because the sudden jump to the past without transition made me think it was part of the present but then oh later on I realise it’s actually a flashback. Happened quite a few times.With that said, the overall plot itself was pretty interesting, a different take on rebirth and souls in a xianxia setting. The world was actually quite well built with its own energy elements and resulting politics and split of lands. The ‘side’ characters were also very well fleshed out.Spoiler
I was upset on MC’s behalf when he found out he mistakenly obliterated an innocent man. But it could have been even more heart twinge-ingly emotional.
[collapse]The romance is there, but the butterflies are still caterpillars. There wasn’t really a build up or back and forth, I didn’t really feel anything. The fluff was still cute though. Implied smut decent (lol).Not likely to reread, but open to trying the author’s other stuff (the world building was good) maybe with a different translator.
