The romance angle is very slow burn and cute, with a decent pace for action and world building. Our FL has decent talent and deep dedication to the Dao of Medicine, profound talent with arrays, and... not much else in the way of her cultivation powers... or social skills... or looks (she's "pretty" and it's frequently noted that cultivators all have high face value, with the OG-FL being "a beauty", so our FL isn't fugly, just not an outstanding beauty).trigger warning Spoiler
There is a scene at chapter 105 where the ML is in a cultivation crisis that takes his rational mind, and the writing is very ambiguous about how thoroughly our FL is ravished (?) at that point. It's very ambiguously written, but if you've been through a situation where you've been the one "pressed down" without warning or any kind of relationship context, our FL's reaction is likely to have you screaming in frustration.
[collapse]Spoilery counter to some of the people who haven't been paying attention while skim-reading this story, or have read their own expectations into the story:I think one of the things I like the most is that the supporting leads *haven't* fallen in love with our FL. They have become enlightened to the problems of the OG-FL's character flaws, and have recognized their karmic debts to our FL. Or they recognized her capability and are after her talents, not her heart. Or they've been ordered to keep an eye on our FL. At this point, only one of the supporting leads has been shown to have any sort of romantic interest in our FL and it's more of a confusion than it is some definitive "I'm in l0ve!" I expect that when the confusion clears up for that guy, he's going to happily settle in the "my friend" group.Note: I don't rank unfinished stories at 5⭐, and at this time, it's still being written.
