Everything is set up to go perfectly with all problems solved already. There's nothing in the trajectory for anyone to actually be depressed. None of the characters are special. Kendo isn't special. The system needs to spoon feed this guy instructions to get from point A to point B because he's so normal. The protag has already played the game so he knows the plot of the world, stripping away even the perk of having him be a normie with normie reactions to the fantasy world.
