This was a pretty good danmei. It's not as tragic as I thought considering I'm always wary of the tragedy tag. I would say the tragedy comes from MLs family. They are just a hot mess Spoiler

I really don't like ML's father, mother and grandmother - Imm so glad MC and ML got the ending they deserve.It doesn't get into depth on the political side but maybe it's cause the narrative of the plot if from the MC's perspective so we don't get much political insight. It's really sweet the relationship between MC and ML, maybe you get turned off by the ML being a literal child when they first met but honestly they didn't have any s*xual relationship until much later so the first part is just getting to know each other.I wish the novel provided more extras about their kid's life.
