In the beginning of this novel, I had high hopes. The beginning of the few ten chapters was quite entertaining and quite interesting for me. I always wanted to find a novel with a wider MC. But continuing on, I don't know why, but the novel itself started to make me angry for some particular reason. I don't know why, but the main reason, I believe, is because of multiple factors. The first factor is the world itself is two-dimensional. I know some novels are like that, and I understand that. But the MC doesn't have that much challenge. Not much stress than some secrets being revealed and pushes back harder than tenfold. The other one is the absolute cluelessness for the MC. Because in the story, he says he tries to be low-key. But every time the chapters continue on, it's quite apparent that that's not true. His actions speak louder than words, and honestly, the actions I saw or read does not match his thoughts of being low-key. The third thing that made me so angry is the characters. The villains specifically, because the villains, I understand they're supposed to be villains. But it feels like Disney villains. Like the author itself trying to make the villain kick a puppy, and you should be mad about that. Like the author's trying to imply you should be mad at a specific type of villain because he kicked a puppy. It's so one-dimensional that makes me angry why this is even considered a villain, if you know what I'm saying. The fourth thing that makes me angry is this attempt for the MC to be somewhat wise, but each time I think about it, it sounds pretentious instead. Basically, any part of the chapter that's trying to make the MC respectable makes it way too filled with... Pride, if you know what I'm talking about. It's basically, it's so smooth, it feels like I'm drinking stagnant water, and it just makes me angry for that specific reason. I don't know if you're reading this and you enjoy this novel, I say go ahead because it's digestible, but you have to turn off your brain to not question it, if you know what I'm saying.
