I can't believe this novel shares the same author as Rule Breaker and even supposedly takes place in the same "franchise, " whatever the hell that means, since the underlying mechanics don't even match up and it's ridiculous to think that they exist in the same universe.If Rule Breaker was supposed to be a rough draft or whatever for this steaming pile, I'm guessing that the author might have suffered some sort of head trauma after writing the last (so far) chapter of Rule Breaker, since he's learn absolutely f*ck-all and just decided to write some edgy mc-edge-lord garbage as a giant middle finger to fans of Rule Breaker.Another possibility is that the author and his ghostwriter for Rule Breaker had a falling out towards the end of that webnovel (hence the somewhat abrupt ending), and the author, huffing his own farts and head swollen from the praise what should have gone to his uncredited ghostwriter, decided to create this failure of a novel.Won't go retreading most of the criticism which has already been properly expressed by the other reviewers, but yeah, whatever you found enticing and entertaining in Rule Breaker is completely and utterly missing from this dung-fest.
