The best way to describe my experience with this novel so far is that I'm still reading every chapter as it comes out, but every time open a new chapter, my first thought is "This novel is such tr*sh".It has a lot of potential, so I'm waiting to see if the writing matures after the first arc.There's nothing egregiously wrong with it, but up till now, 80% of the novel has consisted of MC (?) secretly eavesdropping on ML (?) who is condesecendingly dropping reams and reams of obnoxious, arrogant #IAmSoSmart nonsense on his system.Half the time I'm just trying to picture what the rest of the people in the room are doing while these lengthy mental discussions are happening and MC is making erratic facial expressions in reaction to them. At one point MC even stood up in a meeting and started applauding, his employees must think he's bloody mental. It's literally the #AndThenEveryoneClapped meme.The interaction between MC and ML is also obnoxious and is only saved by the fact that MC can hear the internal nonsense monologue and consequently tolerates MLs entitled attitude.
