It started out interesting and full of promise and lost momentum about 100+ chps in. The author floundered a bit from 100-200+. It's only into 200+ chps in that you finally find out why ML treats FL so well. Unnecessary tension half the time, exaggerated plots, unrealistic recovery from exaggerated plots.Spoiler
FL is drugged and very much nearly r*ped on her birthday. ML saves her and then tries to throw her a birthday party the next day. And gets frustrated when she isn't overwhelming with joy and had said weird stuff directly after the incident.
I MEAN REALLY? OF COURSE SHE'S GOING TO ACT WEIRD. ML quite literally pulled the man off her.
[collapse]And most of it goes around in this kind of circumstances with the same kind of plot.SpoilerEither ML or FL gets drugged. ML almost r*pes someone because of the drug or FL almost succumbs to the drug. Either ML or FL saves their spouse. Everything turns out well. ML tells her "I'll take care of it" and proceeds to take care of it.
[collapse]Which, is fine if this is the kind of structured dog blood plot you enjoy. But it gets fairly repetitive. And I struggled to maintain my interest past 150+ chps. I just speed read it through to find out why the ML treated FL so well.Highly disappointing and a fair waste of time.
