My Omega is Little Hot Chapter Completed Discussion

This one is kinda hard to rate, because for me it has two completely different sites. Firstly we have the very wholesome daily main story with two growing and lovable leads, on the other hand we have the sidecouple and their relationship.

The third couple is somewhat completly irrelevant and only really mentioned in one sidestory chapter.

So after reading the whole thing I will deduct only the around 20% of sidestory chapters from the rating and not the content involved because then it would be much lower, what would be deserving for the main story and main couple.

I don't know much about ABO universe in general but here it kinda feeled like it was just used as a device and not really relevant and it as mainly used to write a story about gl and sisters instead of straight love, just replace alpha with men and omega with women and you could have nearly the same.

Now we come to the main couples:

The first one is really nice with their growing relationship to each other, their own personalities and how they interact with the given world. Spoiler

In such a wholesome environemnt I don't even mind all the superpowers and other coincidences that are given to the MC or that in the whole futuristic empire no one knows a thing about good food, as if the adventurous who go to other planets didn't find edible plants, spices etc.. Also that some side characters just aren't mentioned anymore, even hen another plotpoint was introduced for them, e.g. assistant Sun and the shop manger

Now we come to the second and problematic couple, their relationship was very good when they were young and turned completly downhill because both have done a lot wrong. Imo Shan Pan much more than Wan Baiyun, read the spoiler if you want to know why, but be aware the tone there doesn't fit the main story at all or their first intruductions in the early chapters.

Wan Baiyun gets ab*sed, drugged, r*ped, forced married, more ab*sed and scolded for not "openly" showing affection towards her rapist. Yeah I know that doesn't feels like the lighthearted novel from before, so it was all blamed as Wan Baiyuns faults

Wan Baiyun has always been ab*sed by her grandmother after the death of her mothers. The final result was that Wan Baiyun gets drugged by her grandmother, so that she marks an omega, Shan Pan heard that plan and thought "Why shouldn't it be my omega self who gets her, I always was in love with her?". So she went to the room of the drugged Wan Baiyun and basically r*ped her. Instead of any help or sympathy, Wan Baiyun only gets forced into marriage and gets shouted at and hated by the family of the rapist who doesn't admit that it was her doing, even though they knew Wan Baiyun was drugged. Knowing that someone is drugged and raping them, is the same as drugging them yourself.

Afterwards Wan Baiyun was openly very harsh to Shan Pan, before she basically just ignored her and her feelings, as she has seen herself to low for Shan Pan. After the marking and pregancy, Wan Baiyun did try to care for her wife and unborn child but couldn't show her affection because of her childhood traume. Shan Pan, the medical prodige, hasn't told her either, that it wasn't enough what she did, so there were problems with the pregnancy and the one who suffered the most again was Wan Baiyun because she got hit and yelled at by her grandmother, Shan's family, MC and FL. At the end of the pregnacy when Wan Baiyun finally gets psychological help for her suffered ab*se, and can show a bit of affection, Shan Pan doesn't want her anymore. Totally logical, after chasing behind someone for many years and never get a positiv feedback and then raping them you suddendly have a change of feeling? Would have been great before the raping, don't you thing?

I don't mind that the seperated for a while and come together after Wan Baiyun resolved her trauma and as able to foller her dream studies, but that it nearly all was blamed on Wan Baiyun upsets me, the clear victim of ab*se and r*pe.

In the end it all is reolved happily, because this must be nice novel... No one of the "good people", grandmother, Shan's family, MC, FL, Shan really had to suffer for the ab*se of Wan Baiyun. The family isn't mentioned again after Shan's brother hit Wan Baiyun so hard that she bleeds on the head, no excuse, no sorry just absence, like the rest of the family. But the worst part is that the grandmother who ab*sed her granddaughter for around 25 years, gets what she wants, a child with the surname Wan, instead of beeing in prison for mentaly and physicaly hurting her granddaughter and probably also daughter. She is the commander of the military and didn't even get a single rank degraded, she only "looses" a granddaughter who she never loved in the first place and used as a tool to keep the family "honor and status" in the military. Also the royals who did the same thing to omegas were going to prison or have been gifted a string necklace connceted to the ceailing for the same crimes. They obviously deserved their fate, but the "oh so Innocent" Shan Pan should have never get pregnant and also be in prison for her crimes but no she is portraied as the victim and not as the true way it was.

Btw our main couple knows a lot about all this, Shan Pan tells Ye Lianyin about the drugging. Qin Zhaoci intoxicades and records the drunken Wan Baiyun and didn't do anything except helping her to take the first step into psychological help. It not only is bad on its own, but also makes the MC and FL look like absolut a**holes who give a sh*t about a victim of ab*se and r*pe. Qin Zhao has castrated, imprisoned and possible sentenced the hole Duke Family to death because of the attempted r*pe of her wife but Shan Pan and Wan Baiyuns Grandmother doesn't get any of that for basically doing the same and succeeding. That is completly hypocritical.

So in conclusion of the side story, it shows that ab*se and r*pe is ok in this world, as long as the victim is an alpha and you can treat them as badly as you want and don't have to face consequences. Beeing ignored or talked down is not nearly enough for crimes such as r*pe

The spoilers are the reasons why I only deduct the time it has taken me to read the extra chapters and see the content involved as non canon Would I involve the extra chapters content into the rating it only can be 1 stars at best.

To conclude, I really recommend to read this novel but only the main story until chapter 111 and if you want also the ending chapters 126-128, couple 3 and the couples after a small timeskip. For the relationship between Wan Baiyun and Shan Pan, I recommend to have your own head canon that will be better than what you get from the novel on its own.
