What a terrible fumble. Started off well and good but then the author decided he wanted to switch genres and make it a cheap drama. Don’t be fooled by the first few sugary chapters, it turns sour all too quickly (chapter 14). I decided to drop the series, even knowing that the ending will probably resolve the drama, as it irreparably damaged my opinion on the ML. He’s a self centered egotistical cuck with an incurable main character syndrome.Do yourself a favor and never touch this abomination of a work. If you want to know what exactly transpired:Spoiler
Out of nowhere, the FL that was deemed to be unattractive with no marriage prospects suddenly gets marriage proposals from not one, but TWO crown princes with no plausible explanation.
MC hears of this and decides the best course of action would be to break off his engagement so the FL can become a queen (slayyy) because in this MC’s shithead canon, apparently that matters much more to her than, oh I don’t know, true love??
In the most loathsome turn of events, he shows up to a public ball with another random woman, arm in arm, breaks off the engagement without any prior discussion or mutual acceptance with the FL, and declares that he imp**gnated another woman.
