This author likes gender bender/cross dressing, sickly MLs lol. Translation is excellent, but I'm reading further by MTL. The story is good enough for a re-read once translations are completed. One more general warning, this author doesn't really go into details on world building so don't be too disappointed... the novels are short.The story is about 12 warring nations with one Chen coming out on top. Note that you don't really hear about more than 4 nations... FL is a daughter of a powerful general of the surrendered nation of Si (her mother was from another surrendered nation of Su). Her father died bravely in battle and became a martyr. The old Chen Emperor is intelligent so he demands unity of conquered nations through intermarriages. FL's beauty is unparalleled and well-known throughout the 12 nations and was highly sought after as a wife.However, due to FL's father's martyr status and some unknown familial connections, one of the Chen's Empress Dowager gave her the ability to choose her own husband out of the three unmarried Chen princes (Emperor's grandsons). FL thought she chose a uncomplicated one, Chen Anzhi, but he insults her on the night of their wedding by staying with courtesans, and then taking concubines left and right. One of such concubines is the most beautiful and talented woman of all 12 nations and also the princess of the failed nation of Si and "twin sister" of the Si Crown Prince, the cross dressing ML Si Que. Chen Anzhi hailed the ML as the goddess of his heart after seeing her perform the Qin with FL two years prior. Chen Anzhi has a type all based off of ML's cross dressing so all of his women copies ML's style, except for the FL. What was unknown to all, is that ML is a cruel and unfeeling master of all poisons who does not care for his own life let alone those if his surviving brothers and countrymen. He is very, very OP.In the early chapters, FL grows disheartened by Chen Anzhi's immaturity and recklessness, but still needed a child in order to save her dying mother. So, after finding out that ML is a man, she enlisted him to donate his erm... child to her lol.Spoiler
Chen AnZhi is one of the biggest man child to have ever graced any novel I've read.

[collapse]. FL's is a strong and intelligent woman, skilled in archery and horse riding because she came from the grasslands, which is also a cause for the Chen nobles to despise her as uncultured. She can scheme like any man and has superior insights but the author doesn't really make her too OP. Of course being so beautiful makes her a target of many envious women, which are some of the mid level antagonists.
