Abdul and Polnareff entered into the abstract painting of Dio’s mansion, to me, it looked like a sandcastle.  It was creepy.  But Abdul used his flames like ripple to detect life and Iggy humorously one shot Kenny G.  A stand user no one expected and with someone that has a power that could make the entire final battle a game of illusions and confusion to go out so soon was a bit shocking.  But it was then that Abdul saw a message on the wall…  That as soon as he turned his head, he would die.

Starting this chapter, entering into a territory where one of these three characters could easily die for Jojo tradition, I was already tense.  But then the promise not to save each other came up and a promise once they got out.  This made the death flag all the heavier.  Abdul made a good point, but he is compassionate, he thinks of others before himself in the line of a bullet or a train.  I doubted his resolve and the first thing he did was get Iggy and Polnareff out of the way before being taken out of existence.  Only his arms remain.  There didn't appear to be blood alongside the arms to me, it’s not entirely clear he’s gone just yet.  But I did speculate a reason for reviving Abdul would be for the next time he died, and how our disbelief that he could really die would make it burn all the more.  That may have become a reality.

How convenient that his stand happened to have a usage we've never seen before and was useful for this specific occasion.

@eski514, Polnareff probably was checking with Silver Chariot if there are any traps or something.

Hah, one more Stand user appeared, but he was defeated without a fight. ;D

That was truly a bizarre thing to see something written on the wall in Japanese alphabet instead of Arabic alphabet. We are in Cairo, the capital city of Egypt, not in Japan. I don't think that Vanilla Ice was Japanese either, lol. (yes, I know the carvings could've been written in Arabic, but for the sake of the manga the art of it was turned into Japanese alphabet)

Avdol, no!! :( He told them not to worry about each other and to not let themselves die for the sake of others, and yet he was the one to break this rule and saved Polnareff and Iggy, which costed him his life. RIP Avdol

Avdol was the one who told them not to worry about each other and get themselves killed for one another but he was one who broke that very rule to save both Polnareff and Iggy from Vanilla Ice at the cost of his life. I teared up when I saw Avdol's lifeless arms steam out his life energy from the floor...
