I used to love this novel so much. It has great heartwarming scenes. And even though MC is a Gary Stu his life is not perfect. But now, when I realized what the direction the author is writing, and I loathe it.

This novel, like kuro no maou, likes to build hope, then throws it to the ground, smash it, then step on it.

This moments occurs always when something good happens to MC.

1.) On the very first start of the novel MC was separated from sweetheart but promises to wed in the future. Although this is not a bad thing as it actually builds a plot, this promise becomes a curse, more on that later.

2.) MC is popular he rejects every confession since he loves sweetheart and he's a Gary Stu. When MC become a freshmen highschool, he got very happy to know that his sweetheart is in the same school he'll attend. But when he tries to approach her she saw a guy chatting happily with her. Several rumors that they were dating certainly didn't either. So MC goes home heartbroken.

3.) The next day (I think) MC even though heartbroken, is satisfied that their separation is over, prompting many chances to meet up with her. This was wrecked since sweetheart (alongside others) disappeared and was never found.

4.) MC now a university student, still chained by a promise that will never be fulfilled, rejects advances from women since he will only love one person. Though his kindness never fade, his bad luck never did either. Died full of regrets in an unfortunate accident that wasted all of his life for nothing
