If you came here from the anime, I will advise reading this first. It does have some flaws in it so far from first few chapters. Like. MC automatically knowing how to use magic just out of nowhere (I call BS on that, but whatever I guess.) Besides that, the story moves differently from that of the anime that is airing right now. The events are different chronologically as well. Plus, the start is much different too. I don't think this is much spoiler heavy. In the anime it starts with him with the guys. In the novel he ends up coming across them and what they were doing.Right now I will rate later as I read more of this. But this is a heads up if you came due to anime like I have and wanted to see. (Yes, again events are fully different in almost all regards so far with first few chapters.) So read bit further after anime or what had been aired since the posting of this (Anything after EP4.) Well. Anime kinda has the baddie already in it. The WN you don't know who baddie is. Which is something I hate when things get adapted to animes. It takes away elements of suspense, but I guess they trying to cut as many corners as possible there. But back to the novel. The novel is... Well.. A bit bland. It is better than the anime (well to me) but it still has faults. As some folks already mentioned how unbelievable MC is at the start, despite being a starving child, he can still one up folks. That and again way he so quickly learned magic out of no where without even two chapters in. Like what was that?It is just boring. If anything, this is a good novel to pass time with to read if you wanting to sleep. I found myself getting tired as I continued to read through one chapter to the next. It is just.. Very boring. I liked the concept and otherworld thing, there are some things I like about MC, but honestly MC isn't really that realistic or believable of a character. At the end of the day, it is just another typical OP Isekai story that doesn't bring much to the table in terms of originality or characters. As for rating, it is pretty obvious. One star filling up story, plot, characters, harem, world, etc.The other star? Yea, the other star goes to it being a good read if you want something to help you sleep.
