Not everything that is written realistically is fun or interesting to read. But I didn't find this novel to be as realistic as the reviews make it out to be; the MC and ML literally talk like unnatural robots. The interactions between MC and her mom are way more realistic, relatable, and interesting to read than MC and ML convos, which is pretty sad imo. Maybe the author has more experience to draw from on that front. Sometimes the plot/narrative jumps around a lot which makes it feel disjointed (it also doesn't help that the translator chopped up the chapters a lot, but I'm sure that was preferable when the novel was still in the middle of being translated). This is definitely not a 4 star novel.
