Looking like Joseph's going to get his second fight, here's to hoping! & the new Stand seems interesting.

I love the trope of the "possessed sword," so this arc was terrific to me.

Wait, is that a new Stand user? It's a woman too and I'm not doubting her abilities. It might have something to do with that outlet..

When Jotaro was begging I think we all knew it was going to be a sick one liner in the end.  The murder was for Anubis, Jotaro used the fact that he was stabbed to shatter the sword while it was stuck!!  However, being incredibly injured, Jotaro could hardly move and Anubis took control of a kid to strike back.  That was when Iggy, who we’ve seen save the unknowing boys during Oingo Boingo, saved Jotaro by running into Anubis.  This is proof to me!  We knew he could sense stands or something like that, and now that Jotaro won Iggy over during the N’Doul arc, he is looking out for the boys.  I called Jotaro a guard dog before but Iggy’s taken that role over.  Give him a few more moments of messing around with the crew and him dying would hurt.

Anubis ended, as with the long introduction, with a long death scene.  It was remarkable but in a comedic way rather than a dramatic way like with N’Doul.  Still a notable send off for a notable stand nonetheless!  The scene of him flying and panicking, showing so much tenacity I started to root for him, before going out in a poetically ironic way to rust at the bottom of the river was good stuff.  No hard feelings Anubis, just as N’Doul saw Dio as a respectably strong savior, you saw him as such too and gave your darn all.  You went down after fighting three members of the Joestar crew, Polnareff, Jotaro, and Iggy.  Interestingly, he stated that his user did die but he stayed living and I suppose if we take it that stands are life energy or souls, and souls can live on after death, especially if the stand manifested in a physical form, then sure, why not!

Jotaro grabbed the blade just on time and he broke it to pieces where it stabbed him before it even had time to react. Even when defeated for the third time, he possessed the kid with enough power to defeat Jotaro but when Iggy came charging in, the kid tripped and the blade went flying because Anubis absorbed so much power beforehand and put all his strength into that one attack.

It was hilarious to see 500 years of scarily powerful handiwork going down the Nile River thanks to a miraculous series of events. The fish don't give a shit about noisy not-so-shiny metal.
