Good plot. Good romance. Go read it!

It's not really a typical novel of this genre because of the perspectives and life experiences of the MC and ML. They more than one dimensional characters for sure. Spoiler

The ML rejects the social quo of the Alpha/omega system because of his past and eventually works to erase it by creating a way to remove the effect of pheromones in the end. The MC also deals with gender dysphoria in the beginning.

At the start, it might be frustrating because of how passive the MC is but she definitely grows and becomes more active in the later parts. The relationship between the MC and ML is rocky and kind of angsty in the beginning but they grow to have lots of happy fluff. Unlike most ABO storylines, there's not really a dominant person in thier relationship and they both treat each other equally. There's also no mpreg like in the tag. Both characters have time to breathe and do their own things. In the later parts, the ML disappears for months to years from the MCs life but brings back flowers everytime he returns to visit her (there's a reason and pov for what he is doing and the motive is explained with his backstory). Sometimes they also just meet eachother coincidentally on their travels which allow for heartwarming and funny moments. Wang Luan and Yan Qiong Yu's interactions are just too good and cute while still leaving just the right amount of angst.

In regards to the plot, I like how it's not stagnant to one setting and there's a good amount of adventure, politics, and suspense elements. It's actually very interesting and there are good antagonists and side characters.

The ML is on his own path to revenge but then the MC happens and he falls for her despite his initial distaste for Alphas. There's lots of times the ML indulges and spoils the MC even when he's seen as a cold mad scientist to everyone else. Spoiler

The ML also figures out that the MC is not the original Wang Luan early on. This leads to the MC teaching the ML the native language of her own hometown (chinese) and about her orginal world's culture.
