A wish granting stand, who would of thought?

Nearing Egypt and our boys have taken a detour, a meeting with Abdul’s father.  He should be a stand user, but firstly, Joseph seems to be here to tell him about the fate of his son.  For, on a journey to save his daughter, another man lost their son.  Joseph must feel for what he’s put him through.  That and Abdul was the original duo with Joseph, he presumably knew him best.  He kept this secret so that Dio wouldn’t catch wind of their plan and disrupt his life even further.  This is a sad situation, and the weight was shown on Polnareff as well.  He carries the burden of Abdul with him, I suppose it fits with his sense of honour.



But, as typical with Jojo, there was something bizarre added to the mix.  Polnareff has found a robotic genie, and as with us, he assumed it was a stand user, not buying its ‘three wishes schtick’ but it doesn’t seem so simple.  At first I thought that this would be a genie stand which would give people their wishes with a twist which hurt them.  And topically, Polnareff was just thinking about how he could ever repay Abdul’s father and if not for reviving his son, I don’t know what else would come close.

A detour in the Red Sea led them to Avdol's dad's house and a bitter lump in their throats to tell him what happened back in India.



Polnareff found a magic lamp while he was guilttripping and the genie that came out of it was the shadiest genie around.
