honestly, he's really kindhearted and sympathetic. He's gentle but stubborn. He felt guilty because he accidentally took off ml's life-saving jade pendant, causing him to regress only as a wisp of soul trapped in the pendant, so he listened to ML obediently. For the most part. He later got close to ml's family and neighbors per ml's request. Since ML fell off a building for trying to save xiang cheng, his childhood friend, MC was asked by ML to separate him from xc who unknowingly always had been hopelessly in love with him. Later, it was revealed that MC was the biological son of xc's adoptive parents. Combined with the fact that the young ML was falling for MC, xc became hostile to MC. But MC only felt pity for xc and didn't have any thought of fighting back. When xc tried to grab mc's pendant, ML was angrier than him and told him "next time he does this, beat him up" lol. MC is smart and doesn't want to take shortcuts. ML originally wanted him to only listen to him, let him take care of mc's grades but MC stubbornly wanted to study properly. He's so upright and always wants to help people that ML sometimes called him as holy mother lol.

he is amusing lol. Ceo feng was an arrogant, impatient person. He was a profiteer through and through. He originally clashed badly with the kind MC and had a thought of possessing mc's body. But he softened up immediately after seeing mc's pitiful life. I originally thought he would be the typical cold and domineering ceo, but ML turned out to be a cunning, bad-tempered person who openly gets mad and just lively in general. He thought his younger self was too complacent, so he told MC to suppress young ml. MC was a bit hesitant since he was basically picking on a child, but ML gleefully went "suppress him harder!" I'm so fond of him lol. MC was gentle and soft-hearted, so sometimes MC would let ML possess his body when needed. There was this one time a competitor stole their software but still faced them with gentleness. ML was so mad he told MC "let me out!! I will tear this b*tch's fake face!"

ML promised MC a lifetime wealth as long as MC listened to his requests. In the previous life, ML callously rejected xc's confession, resulting in xc trying to jump off a building, and ML falling instead to save him. So in this life, he asked MC to keep xc away from him. He also wanted to get close to his young body, to see if he can go back to his body. This caused MC to have to get close to ml's family. As MC and ML got to know each other, ML began to show gentleness to MC, trying to cater to mc's kind nature. Honestly, I really like how MC and ML communicated. When young!ML chased after MC, MC really panicked, since the young ML was ML in different timeline, and he didn't want to date him because ML once said in his previous life, he never fell in love, let alone falling for a man. MC also felt guilty for ml, and he promised he would be with ML for the rest of his life. ML tried to calm MC down; reassuring him that it was alright if MC got together with the young ml, he didn't want MC to be alone just because of a soul remnant like him. Ngl I was so sad when he decided to crush his jade pendant. Compared to the young ML who had MC as a rival growing up, the adult ML was more arrogant and chaotic lol he was such an endearing character.
