As soon as a villain gives a line about why he’s going to win, we can expect the heroes to use it back against him when they beat him.  It just about seals their fate!  They should learn not to drop death flags like that so casually!  Either way, this chapter made me realize this fight is pretty dynamic.  It has every party involved in their own way.  While Joseph is the damsel in distress, he is using Hermit Purple to show the others where the enemy stand is.  Jotaro is being abused by Steely Dan but in a sense that’s his part of this fight, to endure!  And then Polnareff and Kakyoin are obvious as shrunken fighters.  It’s nice to have everybody together rather than having one split off from the rest to fight alone.

One of my favorite shounen tropes is when the heroes can look at their allies in a horrendous situation and say, with complete faith, that they are going to get past their obstacle.  Here Jotaro totally did that for Kakyoin, and he was right.  Kakyoin dropped the death line on Lovers, trapped them all, and found the real one.  As for Jotaro, this badass side of him is something I find endearing.  When he’s winning all the time and showing little sense of weakness it’s fine, but to push his limits, force him to shine shoes, serve as a bridge, get beat while not putting up a fight, and to still show his intensity and refusal to break is what I call cool.  Him bloodied and smiling, showing Steely Dan his resolve and confidence, glad that he’s taking so much punishment because it means he’s going to enjoy himself all the more later is one of my favorite Jotaro moments.  To me, this makes Jotaro come off as having a truly strong will in a way that may have been lacking.  Steely Dan is about to get one of the biggest barrages of ora’s we’ve seen.

That said, for Kakyoin to fire numerous emerald splashes inside of Joseph’s brain is something that had me laughing.  And you guys thought the plane was bad!

Wait, if Dan is suffering the damage his stand does... shouldn't Joseph feel that too?Not if The Lovers isn't connected to his brain (I think).

Payback time is just around the corner!

But I can't stop to be amazed at Dan, how can one bastard be so dirty and annoying?

Lovers had the dummies split itself into a swarm of brain matter replicas and Kakyoin's splashing emeralds all over Joseph's brain to no avail but Hierophant Green took advantage of the ruckus the upper-body aimed attacks caused by tying every single one of them up from below.

Dan caused more pain and humiliation for Jotaro but he just laughed in excitement for the massive beating that's to come.
