The male lead is pretty cruel, to be honest.
He isolates the main character from other people, he thinks its good that others are bullying the main character, just so he can 'comfort' the main character later on. Of course the male lead doesn't have any responsibility helping out, nor does he actively tell the bullies that they should bully the main character. He also watched how the bullies literally throw the main character into a very deep hole, from beginning to end and just... watches. Doesn't do anything. Not even when the others ask "Hey, how did fall into a ditch, in a spot that usually nobody ventures into?"
The main character doesn't say anything, and the male lead who watched from beginning to end doesn't reveal he watched, or anything.
This is how ab*se can be, and a lot of cases is.
The ab*ser starts to isolate their victim, so the only support system the victim has, is the ab*ser. Not their family. Not their friends. No one. So the victim doesn't even realize that what they experience is bad.
It's not a bad novel, nor am I particularly upset or anything, its just what it is. ab*se. And not love.
'He will change'
or
'He might change'
Doesn't change the fact of what he had done. He has to properly repent and apologize actively and clearly of what he had done and make things right I guess to have an redemption. Otherwise, with how things usually go in these novels, I guess the main character will just fall in love with him.
This isn't a love story, at least currently.
