By the time I got to this chapter, my eye lids were heavy with sleep.i was expecting a love infused plot but it's just one of those times when an author wastes their skills on a misunderstanding and stagnant plot. Like seriously. I can't even begin to explain my annoyance.the worst part is that by chapter 53. We don't see any sign of any romance. We don't even get a cp. Maybe if the plot continued to be interesting, I'd have continued with it.it's basically the FL showing her holy mother attitude towards every character she meets then they are overwhelmed by her kindness in the most uninteresting way. Then fall for her or something like that.i won't lie, in the initial chapters, it was interesting. I felt that the author had done a great job of fleshing out the characters and we could see that they were three dimensional especially Nangong Chun /Jun. But after the time shift to 16 years. It felt like the plot stagnant and never really got to the critical points when I was anticipating them. And just when I thought they would be addressed the FL either avoided them or vaguely answered or some s*upid sh*t like that.it also doesn't help that ALL the male characters seem to be in love with her for some reason.and even when the plot starts, we don't get details on how it's playing out for the og fl, the mc's daughter.if you can read further than I have, please give your opinion. Other wise, I've dropped this.what kills me more is the fact that by chapter 53 I haven't come across any potential love interests. At least someone that raised the interest of the FL and is also interest in her so that I can follow them. So far, it's like all the male characters are putting forward 100% emotion for the crumbs she's giving them and the FL is giving nothing- zero, except a few kind words. like that would have been okay if the author hadn't intentionally misled my romance hungry mind by saying, "she was swept by a large wave of love" in the synopsis.honestly, if the story is going to be her reviewing the fact that she shouldn't fall for characters while there isn't even a Sign of a threat that she's falling for anyone, then it should end faster. 53 chapter and we are still circling around the same problem and not really progressing in the plot, it's just annoying.like if this is a romance novel, they shouldn't spend 53 chapters on such nonsense. Anyway, let me go find myself a cozy romance qt.
