Polnareff was fine, his stand had a secret ability, the armor it was wearing gave it another life, but it actually held it back!  By taking off the armor, Polnareff has grown much faster and thus has powered up!  Now where have I heard that one before?  This was fun, I was worried Avdol would lose; having just won the first round, as to give someone else the spotlight but it was all him!  And this fight was particularly a good match as it was between the two people we’ve met who have had the most experience with their stand if I recall correctly.  Both have trained with them and we got to see that mastery as they had new moves ready to counter what came at them.



To speak on Polnareff, he did pride himself on his skills and had a sense of honour, he fought Avdol at a place that suited him, and told him about the ability he was using.  He wanted to win fair and square.  I think Avdol liked that about him and played along. Ultimately, after whiffing a crossfire hurricane on purpose against the barrage of after images, Avdol yet again tricked Polnareff.  He fired many in his face and while Polnareff focused on formation to deal with them, Avdol used that first whiffed shot similar to how Joseph used his first thrown clacker against Wham.  It was pure set up and took him down, and from there Avdol gave him a knife to finish himself off with.  While it appeared to be mercy, it was more so a test, Avdol expected the knife to be used against him.  Rather, after fighting off the urges from Dio’s flesh bud, he refused even killing himself, choosing to accept his fate and burn in the loss he faced against a better fighter.



That act of honour proved to us that the flesh buds are not all powerful, and that was when they decided to save him, a bit rude to wait that long when he was being brainwashed, but nonetheless if a person’s values are strong enough, they are what will ultimately win and they will guide the brainwashed stand user’s methods.  It strongly reminds me of Bruford whose humanity broke through his malice in his final moments.

Silver Chariot took off its armor and it was shown to be able to create afterimages. With the skill Polnareff had acquired from 10 years of training to add to his raw power, Silver Chariot's a really good stand to fight alongside with.



Avdol actually hinted how he would beat Polnareff but he did it in such a way that no one expected. His sense of honor being stronger than DIO's fleshy charms was great because he can now he can finally join the party.

Major respect for Polnareff there.
