O Pretends to be B For The Violent Admiral Chapter 70 Discussion

Accurate rating would be 3.6/5

This had been on my to-read list for a while now and it started out really promising but it got boring halfway through. The plot and romance is so unnecessarily draggy. It has been pretty obvious since the start that the MC and ML have good feelings for each other so I wasn't expecting the romance to drag out this much.

I actually really like the ML a lot. Sure he is overbearing and unreasonable but he is also attentive and have good morals. His aversion to people is mostly due to PTSD and having joined the military at a young age, his thinking is straight-forward and he doesn't understand twist and turns. I would say the reason he didn't realize his feelings for the MC is because he have never thought about wanting to fall in love. However, with just a little push he managed to figure out his feelings and pursue MC without hesitation.

On the other hand, the MC feels pretty hopeless and very wishy-washy. There are wayyy more scenarios for the MC to figure out his feelings but he's always avoiding and giving excuses. He's adamant in keeping his professionalism as a secretary and is firm that the ML will never fall in love with anyone even after the ML showed interest and confessed. It's not like the MC have to accept the confession but his actions since the start are highly ambiguous. It's like he wants the good but without any feelings attached. I guess there are reasons for his behavior but it was never hinted and wasn't impactful enough to erase the frustration I felt.

I really liked the MC at the beginning but unfortunately he became a bit of a damsel in distress in the latter half of the novel which made me feel a bit uncertain about the power couple tag. Though I would say I loved the MC and ML's mutual protection and care for each other.

The plot wasn't anything complex so I don't see the point in dragging it out so much. I would have finish reading this novel because I don't like dropping novels when I'm already 3/4 done but the conflict and villains are too uninteresting. For an omegaverse novel, I liked the way the author go about writing it but the plot is too weak.

I wasn’t sure about the path of this book at first, but as usual, Cassandra does it again. Sucks me right in and I cannot put it down. Can’t wait for Blade and Althea’s story!

wow not my favourite in the series but still very good. It is a more complicated storyline than in the other books, since you want all 3 of them should be happy and none if them deserved more pain. I think you managed in the end to untangle the story to a way tjat works and makes sense ...
