Honestly I'm confused on the specifications of their agreement with the publisher. They had something, but their trial period (from how they've described it) sounds like it was a really informal agreement. The fact that they said this could take upwards of a month makes me think there is still a lot of work to be done in deciding the actual terms of their contract with the Korean publisher. I also wouldn't be surprised to see this take more than a month. Their Patreon did pretty well and it's possible that the Korean publisher may have gotten a little money hungry because of that. This is all my own speculation, but it's definitely plausible from my experience.
