Anymore spoilers?
(Thinking to myself: Maybe I should just go read the translated chapters then MTL this, if it is easy enough~ though pity it is only up to 22 chapters currently. Why does it seems that all translated horror BL novels so slow to come out? Then more thinking : Maybe the translators need some time off have to translate such scary stories .)

”Actually, we in the Cheng family were not originally from this world ... It should be said that another one has been destroyed. The world merges with this world. But most people do n’t have that memory, but our Cheng family is special because there is a task that we still need to do.
“In another world, it should be another real world." Cheng Qing said: "It was also a normal place, but it was slowly moving towards destruction. There were more and more ghosts and spiritual events, until the end Everyone has realized that the peaceful life would not return.”
“In that world, only players who have become games have a way out. Most players only care about their lives, but one person is not like that. Even if they become the best of all players, he still Think about things that will change everything and save everyone. "
“But what I know is that at that time the game of that world has reached the end and a Something called the final copy, and that person participated in the final copy. "
“He may have succeeded ... but I think he probably failed. That's why it is now. He uses his last strength to fuse a place where the world is stable with this ordinary world. He himself chose to reincarnate into this world. "
“Our Cheng family seems to have a close relationship with that person, so he chose us to complete this task." Cheng Qing took a deep breath. "Maybe this is the people in our family who will remember those relationships."
“This is what the man left behind. He wants to give this to his reincarnation, so that he can get this notebook later, so as to change the ending of the world that will also be destroyed." Cheng Qing looked at Gu Wuji with a fixed look. Design, "That person ... he's you, Gu Wuji."

To practice my primary school level Chinese and because I love these scenes so much, I attempted to translate some select bits of chapter 101-104 where the boss appears! *clutches heart*

In an abandoned villa somewhere in this world, ghosts appeared en masse while trembling, respectfully turning their gazes towards a certain direction of the villa like they were paying respects to a king.

The extremely handsome young man on the receiving end of the ghosts' obeisant salute revealed a faint smile.

"Finally couldn't resist utilizing my strength? This time, don't assume that you'll be able to leave this world like before."

-

In his dream, Gu Wuji had the feeling that he was in a very familiar place.

He seemed to be in a villa somewhere. Moonlight poured in from the window as he walked down a corridor, and it could be seen that outside was a gloomy forest.

This was obviously a villa that'd long been abandoned.

"This is……"

He clearly felt that it was extremely familiar, but he just couldn't recall why. Under normal circumstances, he should have been able to recognize the setting straight away, but everything became difficult to decipher in a dream.

When Gu Wuji arrived at the landing at the top of the stairs to head down, a figure suddenly passed him by.

Gu Wuji quickly turned his head and caught the appearance of the figure.

It was a female ghost in a maid costume, the most striking thing about her was that the place where her eyes should have been was completely empty.

Even in the dream, Gu Wuji was shocked into a cold sweat, and his mind cleared up instantly.

He suddenly knew where he was.

This was the first instance that he'd entered, and the boss of this mission was the ghost that couldn't be looked at directly with your eyes. The other party was even at the level of a ghost king...and seemed to be gay.

Of course, the last point was the one that Gu Wuji was the most concerned about. If you die, you die. But the more frightening thing was if you died and then had to spend eternity with someone who felt amorous towards you but who you absolutely didn't return the feelings of!

If it wasn't for that being his first instance and having the limitations of a beginner's instance, as well as having the help of the ghost maid, Gu Wuji knew that it would've been absolutely impossible for him to have left the instance so easily!

Him having entered the instance now, this definitely wasn't an ordinary dream. The ghost maid had appeared just to remind him of this fact.

"I only used the ability a little, and things actually developed to this extent. The boss of this instance is too sharp."

Gu Wuji couldn't help but sigh, but it wasn't like he regretted it. In order to clear the current mission, the risk had to be taken.

"But since I could clear that instance once, I'll be able to leave it a second time!"

Gu Wuji immediately closed his eyes as he fumbled and quickly walked towards the position of the exit in his memory.

Even if it was only in a dream, he definitely couldn't lay eyes on that ghost! Otherwise, there would definitely be things that couldn't be taken back.

Just as he closed his eyes, a mass of ghosts suddenly appeared in the previously empty hall, and the atmostphere of the whole villa became heavy.

However, not one of the ghosts dared to threaten Gu Wuji, as they were all aware that this was the person that their lord was waiting for, and not someone they could touch.

Even though Gu Wuji couldn't see what was happening in front of him, his intuition kept warning him of danger. He could only take out his pocket watch and brace himself as he continued to move forwards.

Just as his feet fell on the last step at the bottom of the stairs, the surroundings became extremely quiet, as if the ghosts were collectively holding their breaths, not daring to make a sound for fear of offending someone.

Gu Wuji's instinct was constantly warning him of the danger level of the ghost that'd appeared in front of him, to the point that his head was throbbing with a dull pain.

In the next moment, the sound of footsteps was followed by the murmur of a low voice.

"Long time no see."

Gu Wuji's face was covered in cold sweat.

He never wanted the boss of this instance to appear before him again!!

-

Gu Wuji kept his eyes firmly closed and calmly said: "I didn't expect there to be such a coincidence."

While he was speaking, Gu Wuji also tried to move in the direction of the exit, but he felt the temperature of his surroundings drop abruptly, becoming so cold that his body felt like it was being frozen, and the pace of his steps slowed.

Very quickly, Gu Wuji could barely move. It was clear that the horror-inducing existence was now standing directly in front of him.

Gu Wuji actually really wanted to see what the situation was and almost opened his eyes, but managed to contain the impulse.

"It's not a coincidence," the other answered him in a low voice tinged with a smile. "I was the one who brought your consciousness here."

Gu Wuji obviously knew this.

He tried to remain calm as he replied, trying to obtain some information from the other side. "I've troubled you. It probably wasn't easy since I'm not currently near the villa."

"It wasn't difficult. You bear my strength after all, so it's easy for me to sense your location," the youthful voice explained simply.

"Speaking of this, I really need to thank you for the gift you gave me the last time I was here." Gu Wuji has confirmed the truth. He knew after receiving the ability and thinking it over that it was impossible for there to be no strings attached.

But if it weren't for the ability given to him by this boss, he probably would've already been murdered by the artist boss.

"Oh? You don't need to thank me for this," the youth answered him casually. "After all, how can other ghosts presume to take my things for themselves? They aren't qualified."

Gu Wuji took a deep breath. "I'll find a way to repay your favour. I'm willing to do anything except die here. Then, I'll be leaving first."

"You don't need to concern yourself over this kind of thing," the voice of the young man returned as his hand reached out to gently trace over Gu Wuji's face, the touch of those slender and cold fingertips extremely clear. "You won't be waking up again."

So directly announcing his death!

Gu Wuji was silent, but his mind was running a mile a minute considering ways to escape. Since the other party only pulled his consciousness to the instance, it meant that he was still in the midst of a dream. As long as he could find a way to wake himself up, even the boss couldn't keep him from leaving.

Of course, the problem was that he now couldn't move, and had no abilities that were of help in the situation... The ability he relied on the most often in the past was actually gifted to him by this boss. It was a useful ability against other bosses, but to use it against this boss was basically seeking his own death.

"Is there really no way out?"

Gu Wuji took a deep breath and steeled his mind to force his body to move towards the exit. Even if it was impossible, he still wanted to try.

Unexpectedly, after he made the resolution to move, it was like there was a force surrounding him in the darkness, and the pressure pushing against him seemed to have faded slightly. Although it still felt as if he was struggling through turbulent waters, at least he was able to move and could force his way to the exit.

"Is it because this is just a dream for me?" Gu Wuji couldn't help but analyze the situation. "After all, even though this boss is also of this world, he's not the boss of the particular instance I'm playing, so he can't completely intervene in my circumstances."

Otherwise, Gu Wuji had no doubt that the moment he arrived in this world, he would have been immediately caught and killed by this boss.

"It looks like you've discovered it," the voice of the young man sounded. It seemed he couldn't help but sigh with a bit of regret in his words. "But must you really leave?"

"Of course." Gu Wuji replied. "There are people waiting for me."

He was no longer the same as before. While there were unfinished matters in the real world, he was unwilling to die in the mission world.

It was as if in the middle of playing a suspenseful mystery game, he'd uncovered half the clues and was on his way to unraveling the plot but then died, that kind of uncomfortable itch scratching at his heart.

"In that case, I won't force you. But you promised a moment ago to return my favour." The young man stated: "Then just open your eyes and look at me."

Gu Wuji: "..."

What was the difference between this and suicide!

However, since the other party couldn't force him to open his eyes, it meant that the power of this boss was still restricted within the dream. Gu Wuji let out a sigh of relief at this discovery. In the worst case scenario, he'd keep his eyes closed and wait until dawn.

"A joke." The voice of the youth contained a hint of a smile, but Gu Wuji couldn't tell where the previous words sounded like they were joking. The youth changed his request: "Then give me a kiss."

Gu Wuji was immediately stunned. "This..."

He never imagined that the boss would actually make such a request. These words were in no way something that the big boss of an instance should say.

But considering the direction and tendencies of the other's actions from the first time they'd met, Gu Wuji felt somewhat like he'd dug a hole for himself to jump into.

"Or are you going to say that you'll also refuse me this?" the voice of the youth inquired.

Gu Wuji could even tell what kind of questioning expression the other currently had on their face, as if they were suspecting Gu Wuji's moral integrity.

In his whole life, Gu Wuji had never made a promise to someone and then gone back on his words, how could he renege at this time? What's more, he'd also kissed Cheng Jia in the mirror world for the sake of clearing the instance. In fact, he had no particular feelings towards this kind of act.

Gu Wuji's emotions settled down, and he immediately reached out with his hands to feel out the location of the other person's body.

He soon grasped the boss's clothing. Even through the layer of fabric, he could still feel the icy coldness of their body, and there was also the feeling of cold liquid beneath his fingers... There was no doubt that this was definitely blood. It took what seemed like forever before Gu Wuji finally located the position of the other's collar, then continued to move his hands up, until he finally touched the boss's cold lips.

When Gu Wuji was feeling up the other party, his thoughts were actually very pure. He only wanted to determine exactly how he should proceed with kissing the boss, and wasn't thinking of anything else.

That is to say, Gu Wuji was a straight male who had no dating experience and no expectations or thoughts in this area. He didn't even realize when others were attracted to or had feelings for him, and would never think that there was anything wrong with his actions.

The entire hall was already quiet to the extreme.

Gu Wuji took a deep breath before leaning up in the direction of the other's face, and then gently pressing his mouth against those ice cold yet soft lips.

In this moment, Gu Wuji felt that the force that had been putting pressure on him suddenly loosened. It gave him the sense that the big boss before him was shaken by this kind of thing, was it possible that the other party was actually really innocent?

Gu Wuji tried to pull away after their lips touched for a moment, but a hand was suddenly pressed to the back of his head, holding him in place.

"Ah—"

The other's strength was too much, Gu Wuji couldn't break free from his grip at all. He could only remain in this forced position, unable to get any air, his body struggling helplessly.

The other party finally released him after what felt like an eternity. Gu Wuji couldn't do anything besides stand there gasping in deep breaths. He felt like he was almost suffocated to death.

It looked like breathing while kissing, this kind of thing, wasn't something Gu Wuji knew how to do.

The young man spoke with a smile: "You've put in a lot of effort. Then, I'll let you leave for now."

Anyway, tonight was only a taste. Compared to merely getting ahold of the other's soul, the boss was more interested in capturing Gu Wuji's whole person.

Gu Wuji immediately felt a lightness in his body, as if the forces that had previously bound him had disappeared in an instant.

He quickly strode towards the door without hesitation, fearing that the boss would suddenly change his mind.

-

[skipping ahead to the boss fight in chapter 109]

Gu Wuji's body was suddenly wrapped in an ice-cold embrace.

"Were you wishing to see me?"

Gu Wuji could barely maintain his calm after he was taken into the boss's arms, but feeling nervous was also useless at such a time. He responded: "Not exactly. But I'm very happy that you came."

The other players hadn't figured out what the situation was, but because they'd developed an implicit trust in Gu Wuji, they'd immediately closed their eyes when he told them to. Thus, they only vaguely saw the terrible scene of Gu Wuji suddenly having intimate contact with the ghost that just appeared.

Everyone: "..." What the hell was this situation! Gu Wuji was fine, right? He wasn't going to be directly murdered by the ghost, right? But why did it seem like they were very familiar with each other?

If it was another group of people, it was estimated that they would never have immediately closed their eyes... But by that time, they would also have immediately realized what kind of terrible existence they'd laid eyes on, and their souls would've been bound forever within this world.

The painting they were situated in started to waver. The arrival of the two high level bosses had strained the world of this painting to the point where it was extremely unstable.

Rong Qingman had previously only been worried about dying, but then he saw how much Gu Wuji was willing to sacrifice for everyone. Were these ghosts so easy to move? The truth was that they certainly hoped to make Gu Wuji stay in this world forever.

Hearing Gu Wuji's words, the boss holding him immediately laughed in a low voice, clearly extremely pleased with the answer. He swept a cold glance at Jin Yu, then very intimately whispered in Gu Wuji's ear: "You invited me here just to kill this man that isn't even a ghost, didn't you?"

Gu Wuji was a little uncomfortable with this boss's too-intimate behavior, his whole body stiff. He felt that this boss wasn't actually this overly familiar with him before. Were these actions specifically designed to let someone in particular take note of them?

Gu Wuji: "...!?"

He seemed to have suddenly understood something. Was this the legendary circumstance of causing the other to 'eat vinegar'?

Without a doubt, Jin Yu's expression had immediately sunk. When he saw this boss appear, he'd already understood a lot of things. The demonstration of intimacy between Gu Wuji and the other party that followed was then even more glaring.

"Release him." Jin Yu's words carried a taunting tone: "Where does someone like you have the qualifications to be so intimate with him, are you worthy?"

"Oh? Besides me, I really don't know else could be a more suitable match."

The boss wasn't provoked by Jin Yu's words, but while he spoke, his hand with a cold touch slowly rose to caress Gu Wuji's face, as gentle and tender as a lover.

"Not to mention, our relationship isn't something that can simply be judged by others. We've known each other for a very long time. Isn't that right?" He waited for Gu Wuji to confirm the facts.

Gu Wuji: "..."

The boss's hand had already moved to slowly trace over his throat in the next moment.

Gu Wuji had no choice but to stiffly nod his head, quickly agreeing: "Of course, you're absolutely right, our relationship certainly can't be measured by outsiders."

He really wanted to explain further, but the current distance between himself and the boss at this time was basically nonexistent. If he were to accidentally say something that annoyed the other party, it was estimated that he'd immediately be murdered, never to leave this world.

In any case, they really had known each other for a long time, having met during Gu Wuji's first instance.

"Don't be too full of yourself!" Jin Yu sneered at the sight before him. "Such an unnecessary existence, would anyone remember you if you were to die here today?"

As the person caught between the two bosses, Gu Wuji couldn’t help feeling greatly pressured at this time. The momentum of the two high level ghosts were comparable, and it felt like he was being crushed by a mountain, unable to even breathe.

...

Gu Wuji suddenly felt his thoughts become clear: in order to clear the copy, sacrifices had to be made.

Immediately, Gu Wuji acted to entwine his fingers with the cold and slender hand of the person behind him.

Gu Wuji moved proactively for the first time, and a sudden silence fell. It was as if everyone instantly realized that the drama before them would develop to an even more calamitous level.

Although the surroundings were very quiet, there were actually still a lot of ghosts playing dead, and they were completely shocked by what they were seeing. Previously, these ghosts that had wanted to kill Gu Wuji suddenly felt that they were really too naive. How did they not realize it? Was this someone that they could f*king touch?

Of course, wanting to play out a love scene just based on Gu Wuji's own personal experience was impossible. However, Gu Wuji was an actor. He immediately thought of a romantic drama he'd once acted in. Although he couldn't currently open his eyes, but even just relying on his acting skills were enough.

"Actually, since the first time we met, I have always...towards you..."

Gu Wuji took a deep breath and seemed to gather up all his courage as he took the other's hands in his own. He spoke affectionately: "I just didn't know how to express the feelings in my heart. After all, the gap between us was just too far, and it was impossible to even see each other again. I didn’t expect that I'd be able to meet with you here..."

Gu Wuji's acting was really too effective. Even though the players around him could only hear his voice, but they were all deeply touched by this painful and sincere tone!

At this moment, everyone's minds had already imagined a heartbreaking love story between a human and a ghost. They couldn't help but pity Gu Wuji's situation, it was truly too tragic. He'd actually fallen in love with a ghost, this love that could certainly never be realized...

True.
I already give up in thinking there will be a finished translation of BL horror novel by this time
If you managed to finish MTL one novel, it'd be walk in the park with others. Tho the problem will be the same : no clear understanding of the important point of the plot  And since horror BL novel tends to have more mistery to solve, it's going to be a long road to walk
