Aiyaa.... I think there is a misunderstanding. The big villain in this story is Zerg. Rest all are like passing scenery. The daughter briefly reappears during their wedding only to get beaten up and during the final fight with the Mother Zerg to die. Basically, she has no role. Most other villains are the same. They can't even be called villains. Lol, this author has used them more as filler chapters than actual story progression.
I liked this book coz of the simple language used, MC OPness, ML and the whole way the futuristic world has been described and there is step-wise process of how they win against the Zergs. Plus the cute Meng egg.

Yes, this universe is based off “The Sentinel” TV show, but it was expanded on by fandom in America. And then it was discovered by Chinese writers, but it’s not as popular as ABO. The genre is written as (哨兵向导).
The basics are:
- Sentinels are beings with superhuman abilities, but they are mentally and spiritually unstable.
- Guides are beings with empathetic abilities, and they can stabilize Sentinels. Usually some Guides are more powerful than others, and depending on the author there can be different classifications of Guides.
- Both Guides and Sentinels have a spirit animal that only they can see and ordinary humans can’t. Sometimes these spirits can only be seen by fated pairs, sometimes by everyone, and sometimes they can only be seen in the spiritual plane (it depends on the author).
- Guides and Sentinels can go into heat/estrus like ABOs can, and they can bond with each other.
There’s a lot of explanations written for it, just google it. The one on baidu MTLs pretty well. Unfortunately I can’t post the link because I’m a new user.
