What happens with MC's dad and the new step mom? How is she treated by them?

They ended up getting a divorce (?) (or he was trying to). Reason being, the more he saw MC's mom again, the more he wanted to be with her (since seeing her reminds him of how their relationship use to be when they got together). Also, he didn't like the idea of another man going after his ex-wife and refused to have her belong to anyone else. MC's mother was disgusted with such a thought since first, he originally cheated on her for his new wife, but now, he wanted to cheat on his new wife for her? He hasn't changed at all. More than anything, she was disappointed in him. New step mom tried to attempt suicide when he brought up divorce. I don't remember exactly what happened but I think she landed herself in prison after scheming against MC (?) because I recall her son being taken in by MC's grandparents on her father side in the end. The dad was forever bitter that MC's mom ended up remarrying, but in the end MC still allowed him to see his grandson when she gave birth (although she still refused to call him dad and called her new step dad "dad" which was basically like a slap in the face).

As for how she was treated by them-- the step mother constantly tried to act like a white lotus in order for MC to tutor her son (MC is smart) since all her son does is play games and cared less about what she (the step mom) said or did. MC's dad on the other hand still loved her very much and wanted her to be with him rather than her mother originally (MC and her mother was in hiding which is why he hadn't shown up in their small city) to which MC refused. Her mom was the one who had always been there for her and needed her more than anything, there was no need for her to return to her "father".

There wasn't much of a age gap from what I recall, cause during MC's high school days, I believe it was mentioned that the ML was also a juvenile but sadly I don't recall their exact ages... And yes, the stepmom indirectly caused the orig!MC to get into an accident. I believe she was trying to get orig!MC into having her mother allow her (step mom) to be with the husband instead(?) (don't quote me on this), resulting in the orig!MC to run away and getting hit by a car. I was somewhat disgusted with grandparents He mindset of having MC drop school just to learn how to be a bride, which in a way ruined mother He's life. Although it was sad to see, I'm glad MC questioned grandpa He about his cheating days when grandma He had been at home taking care of her (MC's) mother when she was a child. How can he not understand how much pain his daughter felt when she was cheated on?

Nothing really. MC transmigrated and woke up from the comatose Su Tian. Rifling through Su Tian’s memories, MC found that stepmom was indirectly the cause of Su Tian getting into an accident (I forgot how the sequence went with this one) and then subsequent coma, so as soon as MC woke up, MC asked Mom to divorce Dad and live in another town away from Dad and toxic girlfriend-turned-wife number 2. MC and Mom lived their lives and Dad and stepmom didn’t really bother much with them until I think the whole Coco/Kaka case (I think?), and Dad suddenly wanted to be present in MC’s life, which the MC was completely indifferent to. (Correct me if I’m wrong please.)

Right?! And just because Dad Su was one of his former (favorite) students (that was how Dad Su and Mom He met), doesn’t mean Grandpa He should favor the cheating cur. Like WTFORECAST?!

I’m also confused but did Mom He really adopted Xi Yun (first villain task) after the whole hullabaloo with Xi Yun and his biological mother, who suddenly appeared after being MIA for years?

Simple, she made them feel like someone actually cared about them. All 3 of them grew up in a pretty toxic family environments which caused their minds to become pretty twisted. Villain 1 had very controlling parents whom not only controlled his education, but also forced him to drop his hobbies (ex: he wanted to be a comic book artist but when his mother found out, she ripped the drafts to shreds. When she found out he was into basketball, she slapped him in front of the school gate and scolded him while everyone just watched), as well as controlled his friend circle (people didn't want to get close to him because of how crazy his mother was). Villain 2's father physically abused him while his mother left him behind because she couldn't handle the abuse (also consider he's just a child). As soon as Villain 3's mother died, her father remarried her new stepmother whom also had a daughter that was similar age to her (the father obviously favored his new wife and other daughter more than her, the only person who cared about her was her grandfather).

Uhh it's been awhile since I've read this but honestly, I don't really recall ML ever being one of the "villain's" she had to help (don't quote me on this).

On the side note, if the 3rd villain was male, I'm pretty sure she'd be pursuing MC... Although I don't think it'd work out so well since MC didn't really want to be in any romantic relationship with anyone.
