Guys, I will be reading this and up dating yll.

but to add to the comment above.
I understand where you are coming from, I would have had an issue if the adult acted on any "romantic" feelings the child at the time had. but they are pretty clueless to the crush most of these children have, if they had ill intent they would have taken advantage of them. I and many of my friends have had crushes on older men when we were younger whether it be singers, actors, coaches. teachers, older students, brother's friends, friends older family members. It was all just a crush we giggled about. we knew that it would be nothing more and I feel like that's how most kids feel unless they get fixated and or the adult makes them believe it could be a possibility and then the said adult takes advantage. I do enjoy this trope but it's a sticky one that could go to sh*t quickly. I also do notice that this trope is not uncommon. where an immortal falls in love with a mortal when they are of age. most people, in reality, have a hard time thinking of a 20-year-old with a 60-year-old LOLLLLL but we can easily read a 1000+-year-old with an 18-year-old. It's all just fantasy honestly. But it would be nice to have more stories with 40 years old with a 1000+-year-old. I guess it's not popular cuz the target audience tends to be around the same age as the heroine. A perfect example is that most of the female leads look to be 18-28 max. It's a fantasy, I have noticed that when it's targeted towards women it really has to do with somehow being taken care of or rescued (from a young age usual teenage years) whether it's the female lead doing that or the Male lead.

There is actually mtl of this novel in w*tp*d. I am currently in chapter 61+. And, there will be 10 years timeskip after the silver haired witch hunter poisons Yielle. And she gets saved by the witch of the little mermaid (who asks her to become her slav- ahem, worker for ten years, of course, Yielle doesn’t agree at first, but she didn’t have a choice. P.S it took two years to remove the poison from her body, meaning that she was in coma for two years). And now, Hansel has already grown up! I am not confident as it is mtl but I’m saying what I have read. Sorry if the spoilers is wrong in any way!

Is there ever any follow-up to what happened to Hansel/Gretel's father and stepmother? All I remember is that the

Stepmother and the trafficker were trapped inside the carriage by the MC when she rescued Hansel from being sold.

The last time the father was mentioned was when Hansel and Gretel were framed by the stepmother.

I wonder how they felt if they ever found out Hansel became the Emperor.

Side note, wtf man? I feel bad for their mother. She was a princess who gave up everything to run away with their supposed "knight" of a father. She died later (?) and the man married a woman who abused her children and tried to sell them. Like ... wow. I'm not against finding new love (hello isekai stepmother trope) but to hit your children and not listen to them for the new partner? Like no. He was NOT worth it. But I guess at least we got a Hansel and Gretel from it :/.
