I can’t seem to follow your line of reasoning.

You say that the fact that they were brainwashed doesn’t wash away their bad deeds, but it really does actually. They were not in control of their actions. That’s what it means to be brainwashed.

Your entire argument boils down to you blaming them for the actions they had been FORCED to undertake.

There were exactly two people who deserved any actual punishment: the OG!FL, because she just went along with her ‘friend’ and persecuted the MC, and the ‘friend’ for basically being the cause of every single bad thing that had happened to the MC across her five lives.

That’s it. Those are all the people you could make a case for being at fault.

Any revenge inflicted beyond the one on these two people is patently absurd.

If this was an intentional move on the author’s part to frame the MC as some sort of psychopath, a trait brought on by her transformation into a dragon, that’d be one thing, but from what I’ve seen in these spoilers, we’re fully expected to cheer for the fact that four people who had gotten mind raped would then be subjected to excruciating torture for things that were completely out of their control.

Even just a second of rational thought on the MC’s part would enable her to see that the target of her revenge should be the glitch-bitch, not her human puppets. Maybe MC isn’t capable of rationality after the trauma she went through, but we as readers should be.

Tbh, the lack of morals did disturb me a bit. I couldn't make it all the way through the novel. However, I think the author did a great of emphasizing how different beings like dragons are in that universe. I think it was pretty ballsy move too especially considering how it could have alienated a chunk of her audience as the novel continued. That aspect of world building was well written and conveyed

I don't think that's the case, in fact, the whole school was affected by her brainwashing even when she was not there. The fake saint reinforced her brainwashing especially on these four men in particular, due to their status and power, so it remains in effect even when she is not present.

This was evident when the knight tried desperately to break free from the brainwashing effects because he keeps getting an overwhelming urge to kill Muse which BTW he was horrified by because it goes against his chivalrous nature to never harm women.

The same goes for Arthur, he was starting to break free from the brainwashing, questioning why he even liked the "Saintess"  and why he even broke off the engagement with Muse, it was so out of character for him, almost as if his thoughts and actions were NOT his own.

Victor was, in fact, a virtuous young man before the brainwashing, but he had a weak mental fortitude against the brainwashing that he became fully controlled by it to the point of becoming a full-on evil minion for the "Saint".  If Victor did do these terrible things of his own free will the King wouldn't have spared Victor's life and executed him instead of imprisoning him.

As for the crown prince, she had to reinforce his brainwashing over and over until he was too far gone and became obsessively in love with her to the point of spilling government secrets which the Crown prince admitted that he thought he would never do.

Even if these four men didn't exist, the outcome would've still been the same for Muse as the fake Saint would simply brainwash some other poor souls to do the dirty work with the only difference being the method of torture and death.

The Author made it clear these four men were  VICTIMS of circumstances beyond their control.
Because she wanted to highlight how evil Ragna was and how broken Muse became.

I'm not against punishing the four underage men for what they've done, but raping and having their souls destroyed is too extreme in my opinion for brainwashed victims.

Frankly, I lost all sympathy for Muse since she became just as evil as Ragna and willing to become just a mindless cum bucket for him.

Then by your logic,  the female MC should also be blamed for not being strong enough to fend off her attackers. It's her fault she got herself killed 4 times, she should have been strong enough not to be victimized like that!   Just like how it's the fault of the four men for not being strong enough to fend off the Glitch Bitch's mind rape.
THAT'S How much you make sense to me. (In case you're taking this sarcasm seriously)

First off: As I stated in my previous post, which you obviously didn't fully read or comprehend.  I'm not against punishing the four puppets, to a certain extent. It's just that, Ragna's level of punishment is just too overkill for my taste, especially for mind-raped victims. Not to mention they technically haven't done any of those heinous acts to the female mc in the current timeline yet.  I think they should be punished in a similar fashion they put the Female mc through, for a temporary amount of time, so they can reflect on their actions and live normal lives as better people.
However, IF they were garbage from the get-go, then Yeah punish them however you want, I'm not against it.
But the ones who deserve full torturous treatment are the Glitch Bitch and her friend who went along with her.

Second off: No one has answered this  Question! If YOU were brainwashed to harm the female MC against your will, do YOU think YOU should be punished in the same manner?  If so why? In not why?

But I digress, like you said, this is just a fictional fantasy manga, of cheap storytelling about a heavily misguided/misplaced revenge.

So I'm dropping this manga.  At this point. Rooting for Ragna is equivalent to rooting for a Cop who blames and punishes the rape victims for wearing short skirts.

Simply put, Ragna's character disgusts me. But hey, What did you expect from an evil Dragon?  I'll find some other manga for entertainment.

All I can say that:
The first word that comes to my mind to describe this manga is "Dark".Although the logic is bad they deserved it even if they are victims especially that 'hidden saint', they can't erase FL painful experiences in those 5 lives especially in her 1-4th lives she always die.I can also see the differences in this manga and other reincarnated  manga (I'm not sure if I am right so pls don't attack me) this one involves sexual abuse, mental/emotional abuse, and Violence; like when that knight throw a sword to FL with no hesitation in 1st-2nd chapters in manga, while others involves verbal abuse, physical abuse, mental abuse, and others that I forgot to mention.FL is weak, too kind, and dependent to ragna (the ML, evil dragon), her soul is too broken the result of those painful experiences.I regretted reading this because at first it pique my interest and thought this is your common reincarnated manga turns out it's dark and the logic is somewhat nahhhh, I advice you to not read it if you don't want to be pissed off. I'm just saying this and pls don't attack me if I say something wrong. Althought the plot is bad ML is so handsome though
