I know this is completely redundant and unhealthy to come back here every manhwa update but the recent chapter with Aubrey confronting his mom is both a hit and miss for me.
Other than what HE wants, he holds most cards at the table the moment he threatened his own life. The mother certainly cared enough to cry potentially losing another son but never considered Aubrey's feelings. Again, I'm too lazy to read the summary but from this chapter, it seems his mother was unaware of the brother's fake death. Personally, Aubrey could still continue to do self harm (we all know he has plot armor, force his mother to acknowledge their faults as a parent, AT LEAST half of those 2 sorry excuse of parents. I mean, her own son is finally eating properly due to the love of his life's cooking, motivated to do work even if its the excuse of benifitting Nina. Next, seeing as lineage is important, was it ever explained in the drama or the source material why Nina's bio family is still lacking enough not to give Nina the respect she deserves for being mistreated all this time?

This story is absolutely trash and toxic
Thou when gong ou said "you above, me below" to shi xiaonian when he became desperate was quite satisfying
And certainly the proposal was indeed out of this world which he did propose to her underwater
There was some kind of ruins underwater under a faraway island
The whole island became his proposal and wedding location
He used his new technology "the hologram" and It was indeed magical
I can't promise it'll be soon but I'll try to upload the whole scene when I can

I feel sorry for Gong Ou’s “lost” four years away from his beloved, but I felt like it was his stupidity that made that happened. It’s exactly like Mona said, it’s ridiculous that he went to her to asked to be cured when he humiliated her and her entire family by abandoning her on the altar. Also, he knew that it was Mona and Mu who schemed first to make his illness worse by releasing all the infos to trigger him, yet he went to her for help? Stupid doesn’t even express his decision. This man is made of poor decisions, everything he decided to “protect” the one he loves, ends up being a suffering for the intended party. He decided to break up, he decided that Nina’s child is not his despite being told otherwise, he decided to openly agree to do the engagement oath (he didn’t think that it will torture Nina? He didn’t think that, that will hurt her even more and made her hate him, which what happened), he decided to go to his enemy for treatments (what a joke), he decided to go to the hotel to spend the night with another woman, albeit had another plan, but why agree in the first place? he decided to kill Mona then himself (talk about selfish, only thinking about himself)...all the sufferings started with him, happened due to him, from the beginning to the end. Nina has been suffering throughout their “relationships” no break but a momentary happiness that seems more like an illusions.

Holllyyy Sh*****t , All that dog blood drama going on in this novel, I'm actually quite glad that I search for spoilers first before trying to read it. My heart won't probably able to take it with the freaking rollercoaster of emotion this novel has. I gave a huggge thanks to the ones who have the guts to read all of that and spoil us with it
