Man, it will be interesting to see how Guts will be acting now that he lost his faith in his own sword abilities. His sword is literally all he's ever relied on to move forward and surpass all the sad and frightening things in his life. He used it as a means of escaping his own trauma. And now he doesn't feel like he even has this.



I thought this chapter would be about Casca being abducted for the 12538th time, but I am so glad Guts' monologue was about himself. This will definitely be a turning point of character development.



New arc on the next chp if I remember correctly, I wonder what its title will be. I was worried about the studio and Mori handling the internal monologues, but it definitely seems like something Miura would write. Berserk couldn't be left in better hands.

Man, Roderick is so great, and that pan over from him calling to Guts to the panel with Guts just standing there like an empty husk hit hard. Dragonslayer falling to the ground is just full of symbolism, and all of the Guts panels this chapter are so powerful. I'm definitely glad Puck and Ivalera survived, though I am curious what exactly dictates which astral beings got dusted or not. Hopefully we'll get a Casca pov in one of the next few chapters, I think that'd be really intriguing if done well.

Damn those last pages were fucking emotional... Wow I don't know what to say. I guess the struggle continues!
