Berserk Chapter 364 Discussion

Guts and Griffith haven't had a real interaction since around Reunion on the Hill of Swords, that chapter was published in 2001. It's been 2 decades since they had an interaction, and now this chapter of all times, is when it finally happens. And the interaction is left on a cliffhanger.

Pardon me for posting this here, but come to think of it...



The Full Moon boy, the boy who helped Guts in a pinch especially when his mind was stuck inside the Berserker armor not once, not even just twice, but thrice, was Griffith all along.



The question is: Why? Why would Griffith, of all people, help Guts in a way that not even Skull Knight and Schierke could? Does he not want to allow Guts to die just so Guts can live the rest of his life miserably? Does he actually want to transcend higher than just being one of the godhands, and he somehow needed Guts (and Casca) to stay alive for it? Does he actually and genuinely believe he could convince Guts (and Casca) to live in the kingdom of his dream, Falconia?



He has all the chances in the world to just kill Guts, and definitely has more than enough power to do so. He could have also killed Rickert who not only refused to live in Falconia, but also slapped him in front of his men and fianceé. Both Guts and Rickert are potential threats who could someday expose Griffith's huge dark secret, and killing them would effectively extinguish such threats, yet he never did. Again, Why?



Something tells me that as much of a petty, despicable asshole as Griffith is, he wouldn't kill them, and would even help them instead, just because they are former members of the Band of the Hawk.

I really hope they continue, they confirmed nothing has been decided yet, so hopefully we get more. I believe in the assistants

What? How? When? Who?



I know it's been a long time but the Demon Child's body, if you remember, was swallowed by the Egg of the Perfect World and matured into a vessel that was used for Griffith's rebirth at Albion. They are 2 in the same body as the Demon Child didn't completely vanish after Griffith's takeover.

Griffith?!  What the fuck?!  Why would Griffith be in the child of moonlight's body?  Was this Griffith's way of trying to relive the time when all three of them were together?  Are there actually two Griffith's?  Like, Femto is evil Griffith, and the child of moonlight is the good Griffith that has actually been watching over Guts and Casca all this time?  Oh, man.  My mind is racing.



Thank you, Miura-sensei, for everything you put into this incredible work of art...

I want this to continue sooo bad but I will be fine if this is the last chapter Miura drew and they stick with that. I knew all along Griff boy gon appear.

Love the chapter!! It made me an emotional mess after reading it but it's really good to see the characters having this sense of peace for this last chapter.



Goodbye Berserk and Miura. It was a really insane journey.
