Berserk Chapter 342 Discussion

[A modder told me to adapt to numeric order. I won't change every comment at this point, but I think it's ok to start at this episode... so about "Landing"]



Skellig Island guys. It was in volume 22 that Puck suggested to reach his home. After more than 14 years, they're here. Puck was absolutely hilarious in here, and I really liked the art, the entire group in the same panel so many times.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT IS THIS REAL LIFE!?

Well, we know know why it took 7 god damn years to get off the boat ... Miura was drawing his manga in fucking elf-island!!

At least we get to see Guts again.

This was indeed  a great chapter and I am pleased to see that unlike the sea god mini arc the pacing has sped up a bit. Also it's great to see that Miura takes even further his god-like art- with the thicker lining/inking to the character models they look better than ever. Also worth mentiniong are the even more detailed and refined backgrounds.  On the other hand I can see the Miura/Berserk haters  complaining that the manga has become a '' standard shounen''  manga with  power ups, nakama and post time skips.

GUTS & CREW ARE FINALLY OFF THE BOAT!

They finally arrived in Skellige Island after all those years and Puck even showed us the real version of the Berserk prologue.



It's not as welcoming as one would think an island full of playing elves would be like but seeing the party happily chat as they walk past the labyrinth with Puck as an useful key item was very pleasant.
