I agree with many others here. Lots of good artwork, but little to no plot progression, I guess we know Rickert will probably meet with Griffith again next chapter.
Yeah, the huge breaks between chapters make aren't very good for this manga in my opinion. I think it would be much different if the author decide to make the chapters 50-70 pages, I would probably be fine if he only published one every 2-3 months if that was the case. But waiting many many months, than even intervals longer than one year for a chapter that isn't even 20 pages, is just not sustainable at all. The way the manga is going right now, you'd probably get much more enjoyment out of waiting five years and actually having a few chapters to read in succession than waiting one year for a artwork chapter...
It almost feels like Beserk is like a side project for the author since he very infrequently publishes chapters of it nowadays. Which is a shame because it's pretty good for the most part.
