I'm so happy and depressed at the same time...! I've finally read the Berserk manga in its entirety but now I'm part of the fandom who must deal with Miura's long Idolm@ster-ridden hiatuses. I'm pretty sure playing moe rhythm games wasn't the only thing he did during his hiatuses, but I really hope he finds closure for this amazing manga. I still can't get over what happened in the Golden Age arc. The story of the first Band of the Hawk was unforgettable and tragic, so some important plot development would be nice right about now. I think readers already have a good sense of how out of control Guts is and how he's one of the strongest characters in the series, so some developments regarding Griffith, God Hand and the Neo Band of the Hawk are some things I look forward to. 333 episodes in and I still have no idea why Griffith wants to rule a country and amass all this power. His lust for power is so intense that he is uniting different races and even species to gather enough sacrifices. What is Griffith planning to do? Take over the world? For what cause?
I've become so invested with Berserk's plot and characters that I hope Miura will come up with an ending that will satisfy this long-lived fandom. It's still surprising to know that Berserk has been going on for over two decades. I look forward to the next chapters. I hear he's making a new manga that will be running for several chapters before returning to Berserk. I look forward to reading that, too.
