Is it beautiful that Ganishka and his little off-shoot monsters turned into these mythical trees..

Griffith's seat of power.. where did it come from? Is it also from a seed of human imagination?

Finally, Elf Island! Can't wait for it to begin on friday. Sweet.

Yeah I had completely forgotten why Guts and the others were going to the island, the last couple of double page chapters have been very nice eye candy, though I want the story to get back on track. Wonder when the final chapter will come out.

Miura really went crazy for the artwork these past few chapters. So many 2 pages spreads

Overall I loved the millenium empire arc. I think the drop in quality was exaggerated, because while the time spent on the boat wasn't amazing, everything with Griffith towards the end was amazing. He might be my favorite character now.

The holy Evil war chapter especially was incredible, especially the first volume or two after conviction. Overall this was my least favorite arc so far but still an incredible journey.

9.5/10 arc.

Fantasia next, the final stretch. Here we go.

Chapters take way too long to come out, and the plot moves so slowly because of the amazing art. Full 2-page spread chapter this time around. I almost regret catching up so quickly. Berserk was magnificent when I could just read volumes and volumes and keep going.

From Ganishka's remains sprung forth the mythical Southern World Tree accompanied with a forest of former Ganishka Juniors to make the scene all the more enchanting. The tree looked like it was there since the beginning of time but it became so only a few minutes ago.

It would've been awesome to see Gaiseric's fallen city emerge from the ruins of the Tower of Rebirth but having the whole Roman Empire with a Forbidden City in the back materialize out of nowhere ready to live in was breathtaking too. Looks like his ambitions were way bigger than ruling Windham Castle after all.
