Guts went through a lot of stress. I would too if I had to fight that in the real world and my inner demons at the same time. Tragic schierke...but survival is a win too.

Sucks to see the old witch goes out like that, atleast Guts and the rest of them managed to escape from this brutal battle.

Wow. 229 very well be my favorite chapter of Berserk so far. Shrieke bringing Guts back to reality and reminding him that he now has people he wants t protect was brilliant. Guts' expression towards the end of the chapter is my favorite panel in the entire series; not just for the genius depiction of multiple emotions from Miura we see quite often, but just the overall context of the panel. I probably won't write one of these again so I should also mention how badass the berserker armor is and I was so hyped finally getting to it!
