At this point in the timeline he hasnt. Chapters 1-8 are after this, so he doesnt meet those monsters before Zodd.

Griffith to the rescue, a brilliant chapter. Zodd is a goddamn beast tho o.o he scared the living shit out of Guts lmao.

I didn't remember seeing Guts feel that scared or maybe that's because it was so well shown here :o

Band of the Hawk invade Zodd's safe space and deal with the consequences.

When Zodd said “be careful when his ambition diminishes” and Guts before talking about how when you’re ambition is too large, the only thing left is death/destruction. It’s so related to actual human behavior in the real world. They say businessmen are sociopathic, because they will use whatever means necessary to get ahead. So I like how the author is painting up human greed, too great of an ambition while lacking human compassion, etc is basically demonic. It sets you up to fall into darkness and lose sight of yourself
