Kenji and his friends were assholes too, remember how they used to run away from Donkey whenever he tries to talk to them.

They were assholes to Fukubei in this chapter as well, you simply don't mess with another guy's Manga collection.

hmm i dunno, i found myself empathizing with fukube a bit here, which i assume was the point of this chapter. kenji and the others just using him so they can read his manga and then not even considering inviting him to the group... i know what it feels like to be left out like that. i didn't become a homicidal sociopath, but still. :(



btw i wonder how he has such a huge collection, are his parents rich?

Agree. Most of the kids are assholes. If they weren't, Fukubei wouldn't turn into total sociopath.

I'd be Friend's friend

Well, I do think the kids were a bit of a jerk to him (excluding him after all of that) but his inner dialogue made it clear that even if his actions were generous, he himself was a complete jerk.

I've always hoped that "friend" would get some back story and now we are getting it. Thanks, Naoki Urasawa!
