Kyoko's reaction is literally
Johan's reaction seeing "The Nameless Monster" book so I hope there will be a satisfactory explanation for this. My guess, for now, is Friend face was injured badly or a person that Kyoko knows but let's see...

what could he possibly look like that causes that kind of reaction? unless his face is a kind of trigger that results in some other type of vision. or maybe it's a familiar face in the present day

in any case.. it seems like friend and sadakiyo in the virtual 1971 are aware of the present world, which is worrisome as she revealed way too much. i think she'd definitely be killed if the people at the weird "land" realized she knew what she knows

no idea what could be so horrible it couldn't exist in this world unless thats just some ridiculous hyperbole. this is reminding me quite a bit of Monster. except we've got "friend" instead of johann. in fact, now that i think about it this is exactly like Monster. so i guess the horrible terrible thing that shouldn't exist is probably just an incredibly smart and ruthless sociopath. i doubt it's anything supernatural.

What kind of Eldritch abomination is he if a mere glance at his face causes people to commit suicide in terror, geez?

Anyways surprised that they let her live, and I still don't get why they give them that bonus stage where they nearly kill them, but oh well.

This. If this theme park's purpose is to brainwash kids who question the narrative of the party, then what's the purpose of subjecting those who seem to be the most susceptible to it to even more advanced brainwashing with 66% mortality rate? Just so one of them comes out as a more advanced Friend loyalist? And now that Kyoko's brainwashing have apparently resulted in failure, why would they just send her back home?

It was a weird arc overall, and i fail to grasp what's the conclusion here. Was it's entire purpose just to show us how Yoshitsune is doing? A shame, because i find Kyoko to be more interesting protagonist than Kanna.

I'm dying right now the suspense is incredible. I don't think I've ever read or even seen another mystery as good as this before
