This is... uncomfortable. After doing some math, I determined that Eichi must have been at least 14 years old when Mitsuki was 10. That means a middle schooler went and kissed a fourth grader and proclaimed his love for her.



That's really, really disturbing in real life. I mean, where I am, that would be the same as an eighth grader (someone going to enter high school) being in love with an elementary schooler. I don't like this romance.

                        So Eichi died in a plane crash on the way to LA, and I think Mitsuki already knows yet maybe forgot?

This was just about as hollowing as the anime's version of events.  I never expected Mitsuki to have known all along.  I thought it strange that she offered her life to Takuto so freely before, but it means she really is preparing to die.  It also explains those moments where Mitsuki is keeping all of her deepest feelings bottled away from everyone else.



I went from reading this in hopes of getting a soft recap of the anime to now readily anticipating how this version of the story is going to unfold.

After skimming the anime, I think I like this approach more.  The resolve of her feelings are that much heavier and it lends a unique maturity to Mitsuki's point of view.
