Naruto Chapter 679 Discussion

The last part where they're falling into lava was AMAZING.

Hopefully this isn't the last of Madara. But if we do see him again, I hope it isn't with him siding with Naruto.



All I want now is action. So if Madara doesn't ever come back, it's cool, Kaguya is said to be a lot stronger so this will only lead to better fights hopefully.

Reread the chapter and Kaguya is one beautiful goddess though <3

At this point I wouldn't be surprised that Kaguya would get sealed by treasured tools of the Rikudou sennin by Tenten and she consumed by greed and power of those tools became the final villain



Eh... you guys are just too facile, really. I'd explain all the reasons why Kishi making Kaguya the final big baddy is a good thing, but this thread just appears to be for bashing Sakura as well as badmouthing all the supposedly  'unnecessary' plot twists the guy is taking, so I'll save it.

Kaguya as the last boss lol I predicted all this in the last 2 chapter discussions and ever futher on other forums. You can't think outside the box for this manga you have to think of 2 things...

I have no words at this point of time lol if I go even further I am sure I'd get some damage control trooper coming at me, the normal ones like A__S__r. Those 2 things I mentioned, if you use that, you can easily predict what will happen = poor writing.

Obito is left there, inb4 he is somehow still magically alive. Let's not forget that the only thing keeping him alive was Black Zetsu -- Juubi extracted from him. I'd hate to think if somehow he is still alive, inb4 he gives his remaining sharingan to Kakashi again cause Kamui OP :ed:



So this whole time, Black Zetsu had lowkey strength? As far as I am concerned it wasn't even strong, that was shown when Black Zetsu had a lil scrimmage in the war when he crossed with the Mizukage and that lil Swordman dude (forgot the name). How the heck was he able to pierce Madara like that? This basically tells me that we can't assume Tenten is is not god tier level because out of nowhere she can just do what this Black Zetsu did.



And the fact that Black Zetsu was created by Madara, White Zetsu was created by Hashirama cells smh, this is all going to go out the window and re-stated with some bogus explanation soon -- or if they even explain it.



Think about it people, Kaguya.......possibly the final boss.......Lol good lord smh

Also, Zetsu was made from the gedo statue I believe... it's perfectly plausible that he could have kaguya's will and took advantage of that.

Most likely taken from the active Shinobi roster when she gave birth. Now she's probably one of those people stuck in Konoha during the war. Wait...seeing as how the genjutsu's affecting the whole world, it's safe to say she and her child are under it as well. Poor woman...

I think I have a theory with regards to Kaguya and why she would want soldiers. It might be kinda insane, that’s where this manga is right now, yes?

So, it’s stated by Black Zetsu that Kaguya wants soldiers. But for what? Apparently everyone in the world is trapped in the genjutsu, so who is there to fight?! After having read the chapter on a website I usually read from, I was looking through the comments, some of which were people jokingly (or maybe not?) saying that Kaguya was going to wage interplanetary war. This is obviously coming from when Naruto had spoken with the SOSP, when Naruto had asked if he was some kind of alien, with the Sage replying that he wasn’t too far from the truth.



This made me recall about “The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter,” which is obviously where Kaguya is coming from, with Kishi’s love of incorporating Japanese myths and folklores in this story. If you don’t know the story read here for a summary:

So, Kaguya in “The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter” was a celestial maiden from the Moon. If this is has been incorporated into “Naruto,” this might explain that alien comment. Another thing to possibly note is that when Naruto questioned where Kaguya had come from, the Sage refused to answer. It’s only hinted she’s from a faraway place.



Going back to "The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter", quoting the Wikipedia page, it’s said “in some versions of this tale, it is said that she was sent to the Earth as a temporary punishment for some crime, while others say it was for safety during a celestial war…” For “Naruto,” let’s focus on the former.



Now, we return to the question: what exactly does Kaguya need soldiers for? If Kishi incorporates the fact that Kaguya did indeed come from the Moon (and was perhaps sent down as a punishment), does she want to wage war on the Moon people?

TO SUMMARIZE, Kaguya is from the Moon, she was banished maybe, and she wants to wage war with Moon people using humans turned into White Zetsus to fight.



I honestly have no idea. I could be so dead wrong about this. Again, the theory is kind of insane, but it’s just what came to my mind.

Sorry but no one is more beautiful than Yugao. imo. She is a goddess.
